If you’ve ever felt like your body was working against you — I get it.

For years, I was doing “all the right things.” Counting calories. Working out. Trying every trendy wellness plan that promised to change my life. But deep down, I knew something wasn’t adding up. My energy was gone, my mood was unpredictable, and no matter how disciplined I was, the scale refused to budge.

Then came the diagnosis that changed everything: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

The Wake-Up Call

When I was first diagnosed with PCOS, I finally had an explanation — but also a lot of frustration. PCOS isn’t just about irregular cycles or acne. It’s a complex hormonal condition that can affect insulin resistance, weight, fertility, and even mental health.

At my heaviest, I was almost 350 pounds. I remember sitting in the doctor’s office, hearing the words “you might have to be on medication for life,” and feeling like my future had already been decided for me.

But I wasn’t ready to accept that.

Finding My Own Way

In 2023, after years of trial, error, and exhaustion, I discovered peptide therapy — and it completely shifted how I understood my body.

For anyone new here, peptides are short chains of amino acids — the building blocks of protein — that act like messengers in the body. They help regulate everything from metabolism and energy to sleep, skin, and immune function.

I started peptide therapy under medical guidance, focusing on supporting my metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and recovery. And over time, something incredible happened:

  • My blood pressure normalized.
  • My inflammation went down.
  • My energy came back.
  • And the weight started coming off — naturally, steadily, sustainably.

Today, I’m down over 125 pounds, and I’ve never felt more in tune with my body. Not because I “found a quick fix,” but because I found a tool that supported my biology, not fought against it.

The Peptides That Changed My Life

Every journey is unique, but for me, these were game-changers:

  • GLP-1 medications (like semaglutide and tirzepatide) — helped regulate hunger and insulin response.
  • BPC-157 + TB-500 — supported recovery, gut health, and inflammation.
  • GHK-Cu — boosted my skin healing and overall vitality.
  • NAD+ — improved my cellular energy and mental clarity.

I didn’t start all at once — and I didn’t do it alone. I worked closely with a telehealth provider who understood peptides, hormones, and metabolism. That’s one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: don’t do this without guidance. Your health deserves professional support and proper monitoring.

From Weight Loss to Wellness

What began as a desperate attempt to lose weight turned into a holistic healing journey. My sleep improved, my mood stabilized. My confidence returned.

And for the first time, I stopped chasing “skinny” and started focusing on longevity — living longer, feeling better, and showing up fully for my life.

That’s what inspired me to create Talk Peppy — a space where women can talk openly about hormones, peptides, and the messy-but-beautiful process of healing from the inside out. Because we deserve to understand our bodies, not fight them.

My Advice to You

If you’re dealing with PCOS or stubborn weight challenges, please know this:
You’re not broken. Your body isn’t your enemy. It’s just asking for support — and sometimes that support looks different than what we’ve been told.

Start with curiosity. Learn about your hormones. Explore your options with a trusted provider. And remember: progress isn’t just about pounds lost — it’s about energy gained, inflammation reduced, and confidence restored.

I’m still on this journey right alongside you — and I’ll keep sharing what I learn every step of the way.
